Stepping Forward is the theme of this year’s VBG Summit which will be an online virtual event, with a focus on effectively managing a veterinary practice in today’s environment. The event starts on Wednesday 21 October and culminates on Friday 23 October with the VBG Awards and Scholarships announcement.

Featuring a mix of local and international speakers, the VBG Summit welcomes keynote speaker – trend forecaster and eight-time bestselling author Michael McQueen, who will present on the shape of things to come in veterinary business, followed by group discussions.

“There is so much set to change in the veterinary world over the coming years and now is the time to prepare. It is critical to stay one step ahead of change and this event will be a key way to do just that. Building and maintaining trust is one of the most important things for veterinary professionals today. In my presentation, I will explore some of the latest research examining how to do just this”, said Mr McQueen.

Entrepreneur and venture capitalist Katerina Kimmorley is the second keynote speaker, presenting on the environment, entrepreneurship and economics – sharing her perspective as a global leader in this space and her view on the role of the veterinary industry. Other speakers include Sue Crampton, Alison Lambert, Dr Nicole Laurence, Janet Murray, Dr Magdoline Awad, psychologist Naomi Bickley, Dr Moss Siddle and Pet Pack’s own Dr James Ramsden.

“The AVA VBG Summit is my favourite conference of the year. I love the plenary speaker sessions discussing the big picture of the entire commercial world not just our veterinary focused environment. If you’re just starting out or an experienced campaigner who needs to recharge your enthusiasm for veterinary business, the summit is the place to be!”, said Dr Siddle, veterinarian and founder of MedeChat and the VetCheck App.

The VBG Summit is tailored to suit all levels of experience within veterinary business – from those just starting out and needing to establish all the key skills and framework, to those that have significant experience already but want to further increase their knowledge and discuss the higher-level issues they are facing and the future of the industry itself. Read more >
