A survey of 1,011 Australian pet owners by the comparison website Finder has found that on average dog owners would spend $3532 at the vets to save their pet, while cat owners would shell out $2618 to save their feline friend.

The research also found that 17% of dog owners would spend more than $10,000, while 6% would spend more than $15,000. In comparison, just 10% of cat owners would pay more than $10,000, with 4% willing to spend more than $15,000. Read more
