The coronavirus outbreak has resulted in the cancellation of many events including the AVA’s National Veterinary Conference planned for the Gold Coast in May. The AVA is currently organising the best platform available to present a number of Virtual Conferences for the veterinary community. More information will be available as it comes to hand, however the AVA are hoping for the first event to take place around May or June.

Veterinarians are also being encouraged to maintain their professional development through participation in other online learning activities available through a range of vet education providers. More information can be found through visiting the following selection of links: Improve International, Centre for Veterinary Education, CAVE, VetPrac, VetEducation, Animal Health Australia, AVA Return to Work, Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Academy, Idexx Learning Centre and Vetanswers CPD Calendar.
